Today, 5 years and a day after the fires hit Batlow, I had tea with two gentlemen.Both harvested wood from the remains of my fallen oak trees - the Grand Oak (English oak) and the Holme Oak both of which protected our house frome the flames.They returned today with gifts tied up with yellow ribbon.
