My game is pretty small and niche and I was also finishing a Kickstarter campaign, I didn't put has much time and effort into Nextfest has I would have wanted, but I still learned a lot and I'm happy with my result. Got bumped from around 200 wishlist to 600. Next time we'll do better !

There's a place for realistic looking games for sure, but i've always been annoyed that out of anything we can do with games, making "real life" seems like the biggest focus. I want cartoony, colorful games! Wind Waker comes to mind.

At a certain angle, it kinda looks like a weird reversed egg. Love the effect though! Could definitely see this in some sort of weird alien, sci-fi game, screw normal and straight UI elements! :D

Having slot based inventory, with too little slots for the diversity of items you can find. My inventory isn't "full" I just have 1 copy of 40 different items. I more often then not, if it's adjusted well, have a weight system then just limited slots.

I also plan on using some of that money to purchase a Steamdeck, my current setup definitely could use the upgrade and I think it's a wonderful machine, I'd like all my future game to run on it, so having one personally to test would be great. But we'll see. Hope that somewhat answers it! (2/2)

You mean how I chose that I was aiming for 1 000$ Canadian ? Half of it will go toward the game expanses and improving it. The few art assets I bought, the Steam and Kickstarter fee, I'd like to get some promo art made or a better trailer and hopefully get it translated in a few languages (1/2)

When using asset packs, there's always a point where you have to ask yourself an important question. Either my knights can use tanks now, or I have to draw my own ballista sprite. Finally starting to add new enemy types in #Necroflora #gamedev #indiedev #godot #pixelart

Inventory sizes are one of my biggest gripe with games. While I love terraria but it does come to mind, having limited item slots and so many item variety to collect,they did do many changes that make it better lately. Look at how many items your game has, then make your inventory in consequence.

Can't hug you, but has an educator I can at least say that, your free assets are a huge help and affect the lives of many. I teach teenagers game dev, and being able to give them access to your assets, saves me a lot of time and help them express their creativity. Virtual hug from canada 💟 ☃️
