Managed to hunt down two photos of the kitbashed model built by Jim Bowers as reference for the original WipEout game, sometime around 1993 or 1994. You can see the logos on it are harvested from other kits- Toyota and Buick logos, USAF roundels, and more that I'm sure someone else could ID

Junkros, now painted:
A small model starfighter sitting on a stand. It is a warm grey with weathered green details and a matte black canopy. In the background is a paint palette and other painting supplies.

JLF-19 Junkros Fighter from Star Wars Outlaws, in progress.
An unpainted, kitbashed model of a starfighter. Most of the model is white or grey plastic, but there are a few colorful kitbashed parts, and yellow sculpted weld beads. It sits on a cutting mat with drawers, tools, and building supplies out of focus in the background.

I will never stop making Gaslands cars
A miniature die-cast car that has been modified and repainted to have the appearance of a postapocalyptic wastelander vehicle. There is a large missile chained to the roof, and jagged spikes on the front bumper. It is painted bright green, with rust showing through in several places. It rests on a brown surface with a few small rocks just visible in frame. The background is a pinkish red, suggesting a dust storm or sunset.A miniature die-cast car that has been modified and repainted to have the appearance of a postapocalyptic wastelander vehicle. Looking for opinions- which geometry do you like best: Vertical indent, horizontal indent, or flat? These aren’t even close to final, I’m just using my new 3D printer to do the prototyping

I have been fighting a months long battle to get my cutting machine scribing tool to produce more consistent lines. Turns out, it was coming loose in the jig, and all I needed to fix it was a bit of masking tape to give it a TINY bit more grip. Sometimes it’s the low tech fix that works best.

Fun typography fact! The font used in the original Final Destination poster and the infamous "you wouldn't steal a car" PSA use the same font, FF Confidential. Bonus: The PSA used a pirated version of the font called "Xband-Rough". afaik Final Destination used the licensed version, but who can say 🤷
