A puncture repair kit in a vending machine at the train station (Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg, Luxembourg). As if the free public transport wasn't good enough.

For a modestly-sized seaside town Sheringham goes hard. It's also the town where they chased Nazi re-enactors out of their WWII weekend: www.lbc.co.uk/article/nazi... (and you get there on public transport).

A row broke out at a 1940s re-enactment festival when an angry crowd confronted a group dressed up as Nazi soldiers.

I like how the map distinguishes between 'travelator' and 'proposed travelator' like the Oxford Road – St Peter's Square travelator was already in place for people who really needed to get to the Central Library in a hurry.

A nice bit of presumably 1970's design. The book is Colin Ward and Anthony Fyson's Streetwork: The Exploding School written in capacity as the education officers for The Town & Country Planning Association. All very much of the era.
A label from inside a former library book. It has a UWIST logo in blue ink in distinctive rectangular type very redolent of 1970's design.

3 aubergines (egg plants) arraigned on a brown paper bag. They form a gradient between predominantly white with light purple specking to a deep purple, that is almost black

Go read this. I've seen him talk and read his book (Those They Called Idiots: The Idea of the Disabled Mind from 1700 to the Present Day). Incredible stuff on learning disabled folk in history that's a vital perspective on thier place in today's world.
