This 33-year-old nurse told the FBI she knew she was “going to set him free” after border patrol agents brought in a man whose face was bloodied and seriously injured. She treated him and helped him escape, and she faces charges now. He got away, and they never relocated him.

I feel this. It traps you in a cycle of never buying nothing for yourself. Then there is that weird segment of people who think poor/struggling people should only exist to work and die. Joy and fun are human needs as well.

I too know of a homeless man whose wife's ashes were taken when his tent encampment was torn down. They have also lost library cards and ID that is vital ... as well as the new sleeping bags and tents that strangers (like us) had purchased for them.
