Oh hai, new cat alert. My heart is full of happiness with a new member of the house. She’s mostly blind and has a congenital condition that means her walk is a little derpy. She’s unable to murder birds , loves naps and is incredibly gentle with mum.

Here' you see some of my space in my converted garage/studio where i do most of the making for my tiny business SuperVery and another of my favourite things buying cards and postcards and framing them. #SecretSantaAoNZ

My business is 50% mental health, 50% pays for nice things like the internet which is maybe an essential but i'm on an SLP so it feels like a luxury to have unlimited fast internet. I mainly sell on felt https://felt.co.nz/shop/supervery at Welly Collective & The Department of Curiosities and Fine Things in Napier. I used to run a wonderful crafty event called Craft2.0 but it all got a bit much. The maps are for me to paste onto boards and get laser cut into bird shapes. MY other favourite thing is putting art on my walls and i often will buy cards and postcards and then frame them and one day i imagine the entire house will be one big gallery wall full of things that make me smile. I just uncovered these postcards from a trip 17 years ago to alaska (we used the ferry system which was amazing, they have cabins and everything) also lots of cheery knick knacks in my china cabinet from trip, as gifts and because i share my home with my Mum (i'm 54 she's 93 and due to CFs i can't live alone and due to age she can't but i've been at home since my mid 30s because that's one way to save energy, but i'm lucky because she's just the most delightful person) things of hers. The china cabinet is mid centuray modern which is very stylish but honestly has been in my life as long as i've been alive. The cabinet now store packing materials instead of drinks. I hope all this helps, if you need more, please nudge me and i'll take some more photos and write some more things. Elmo i part of the bear collection, i brought one for my nephew when they first came out and it make me smile so much so i got one for when i'm a little blue and that laugh is infectious, but it's jim henson company so of course it's awesome. I was raised on the muppets and am doing a rewatch now

I love Christmas, i love handmade, i love store bought , i love going all out with decorations and sparkle. The day itself is normal, I go for a swim at the beach and have a quiet day watching films with my Mum because her age (94) and my health (CFS) make life a bit slow & boring #SecretSantaAoNZ

my tree full of handmade delights and, commercial delights, and gifts ( have a treasured luke's diner decoration, mini princess leia funko and a couple handsewn decorations from past santas - i've been doing this since websame started it on a spreadsheet) Bears come out every christmas also handmade sock monkey, minu bear and scrappers rabbit) more bears and my baby grogu who I ADORE and stays out all year, because they just make me happy.

Christmas part 3, Novelty Christmas dino and lama that make chicstmas noises (I love their cheesiness so very much) , handmade mouse, tigers from dreamwold when they had tigers, paddington bear (the second best bear after winnie the pooh) (The second paddington film should have won the academy award for best picture it was such a good film), sock owls (i used to teach classes and sell them a long time ago) and knock off lego (not the mico lego which i can't do, but 1/2 size mini lego which i save up to do when i'm a bit blue). Bonus my wals filled with tote bags turned into art, prints from favourite artist friends Evie & Collen, Winnie the Pooh, Houseplants and 2 laser cut highly decorated 3d wall art pieces, which inspired my entire SuperVery Bird Range. Maps of Hobbiton (I'm the nerd who studied tolkien at uni and loves all the films), Wind in the Willows and Scotland (I love an illustrated map) & an embroidered pillowcase i turned into a print

I have CFS so one of the things i do is rest and it is VERY BORING, so i watch a lot of Bravo (love below deck and summer house) i watch cricket (I was raised on cricket my dad even went to a match the day he married my mum) I rewatch a lot of favourite like Gilmore Girls, West Wing, Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Dr Who (love David tennant era the most)
