“The playtesters seemed to do OK…”
“Oh, Eight! Mind giving “8-ball” another try?” Marina turns to Eight, who just walked in with a tray of mandarins and energy drinks.

However, Eight has a flashback of their testing days...
“You let an 8-ball fall-”
“-Test Failed.” a voice on intercom says as Eight looks over the edge of a cliff.

Back in the soundroom, Eight appears to have fainted.
“See? Do it for Eight!” Pearl hugs Eight trying to wake them.

Somehow, with this setting, it started to feel like we were unfairly picking on the Salmonids, who were simply going about their lives happily on the island, and it became a bit difficult to accept emotionally. On top of that, it felt like we were attacking the Salmonids and taking their cherished treasures by force, and then basking in our spoils.

value grouping study: comparing star fox 64s' spyborg. remake lighting goes hard #artstudy

comparing the same enemy in starfox 64 across three versions of the game: n64, 3ds, and switch 2. use some screenshots and make them grayscale. each game uses different lighting, with switch 2 making it look mysterious and 3ds making it easy to see.

in drawing i have been frustrated with contrast. i am practicing value grouping by copying some game screenshots. Mario kart 8, wild woods. a lot to focus on but the track stands out via brightness and contrast. #artstudy
