I wish I didn't relate to this... I love you and I'm sorry you feel this too.

Ok but same. I think there is something wrong with me.

I can't get over how well the Journavx is working on my surgery pain. I'm not drowsy and nauseous like I would be on opiates, and I definitely don't feel like I just had major surgery 2 days ago.

Reading the surgery notes, apparently I was just completely full of endometriosis. So I should feel so much better after I heal!

Made it through surgery. Rendered two veteran RNs speechless before they erupted with cackles by telling them I was here to get spayed.

For the first time in 7 years out here, the store had this dip. It's fitting that I found it today, of all days. Dad has been gone 3 years today, but I know finding our favorite football snack is his way of letting me know he's still here to take care of me through surgery. I love you, Dad.

This. I remember when you could decide the morning of if you wanted to try and get an Artist Alley table too. All you had to do was wake up and enter the lottery. No planning or applying ahead of time, just show up if you felt like selling your art.

Finally went to a dentist for the first time since I had my wisdom teeth emergency extracted in 2018. Even with all my dental anxiety, fear, and trauma around my teeth, the appointment was actually positive and I have a plan in place to fix my broken teeth.

I was supposed to get a recheck chest CT at 2-4 weeks. It has been over 3 weeks since my hospitalization, and insurance still hasn't authorized it. I'm having surgery in a week and they want to be sure the pneumonia is totally cleared up before I go under.

I'm so over insurance. Why is everything so much more difficult now that I'm PAYING FOR INSURANCE rather than just utilizing the free state health plan?

Kat 🎨 AF: Woofkitty 🔍 Mystery @stup1dcat.bsky.social · 07/07/2026

Insurance in this country is ridiculous. Why even have it when the company is going to ignore what the doctor recommends? Deny what will actually help, but hand out oxy and opiates like candy? Sure. Thanks.

Kat 🎨 AF: Woofkitty 🔍 Mystery @stup1dcat.bsky.social · 03/07/2026

Doctor wrote me a script for the new non-opiate pain med for my recovery from surgery. This is absurd. But insurance will cover the addictive stuff and give it out like candy. Because why would our healthcare system actually try to help patients?

Yea, none of my circle here are furs. It's hard to make friends in general. I just got lucky that the Portland area has a huge queer and artist community, and that's allowed me to find humans I like.
