My understanding as to why lots of those Arny Rangers in Afghanistan grew beards and wore the local garb was because their mission was to get to know the locals and organize and train a resistance. That's why they're Special Forces. Force multipliers. Badasses too.

Keep in mind, my opinion is that the LLMs can already pass The Turing Test. Actually AGI is real hard, but selling heuristically better version and firing workers is the plan. If its good *enough* and its more profitable.... they're cool with that.

The business case is not "iffy" at all. Talk to VC guys. When you pitch the one question they want answered is what problem does your product solve. AI solves the essential problem of all capitalists: wages. They don't want to pay workers wages. That's the goal.
