Because I love trying new things, and I like Blondes, I’m having a drink named “The Blonde”. It’s made with Peach Schnapps y( 8.5 shots) Limoncello (10 shots), Peller Chardonnay (1 oz), White Cranberry (1oz), lemon, and Sprite (1 oz). The bartender told me she pre-batches the Schnapps & Limoncello.

My hotel is within walking distance of a lot of places. The Loose Moose is very close and features this Draught IPA named “Flying Monkeys Juicy Ass”. The menu says “Ass” a lot.

A really cool thing about this actually old/old-school hotel? They have Filtered Water Refilling Stations on every floor, & provide a 1 Liter carafe for this. I brought this Evian from Berlin, not drinking it until I got here. Since I didn’t drink from the bottle, I can refill it a lot as well.

I thought that I was finished with this recon mission. I wasn’t. The water is a normal thing, it’s in a plant-based package. The place setting, which looks like it’s fake….its edible. The first picture shows stuff on it. The second one shows it after I ate the chocolates and blueberries.

….and the United Nations of power outlets. I’ve NEVER seen this in any hotel in the world where I have stayed (so it’s new and rare to me). For the Ireland outlets you have to flip the switches on them for the power to work. The other you just plug in (I tried US and both EU plugs and they worked).

More: bathroom is big for a hotel room. Shower does not have a door to close. There is a fixed waterfall head and a portable wand. Complimentary umbrella (also available for purchase, still a nice free touch. Downstairs bar was nice. Nescafe system. Concierge desk with one who is actually there.

It’s good. Busy street, otherwise pretty nice. 30 Minutes from the airport, at least in the rain today. Here are some pics. They have big fluffy hers and his robes and slippers (of course you could purchase them if you like); a reed diffuser; what looked like a small Aloe Vera plant.

This hotel has an old-school Honor Bar. When have you seen an Honor Bar that didn’t have anything weighted to where if you even touch it, you get charged for the item you touched? (Yes, I’m taking the chocolate bar with me, as well as the shortbread, which actually is complimentary.)
