About 40% of the posts on Bluesky tonight don't make any sense to me at all. Another 40% make me cosmically cross, bc they are about a Uni in the Finger Lakes. Thank goodness for vintage cat photos and Renaissance miniatures. And pumpkins.
Colourful poster for Centre for Colorado Women's History in Denver, with cute pumpkins displayed on shallow outdoor steps.

Auction sale of collector canes, at Bonhams, ending on Sept 22, 2026, is truly bonkers, in best sense. A cane representing part of Kinzie Street in Chicago!? I am not sure any of these helped the owner walk upright, however...... Follow link to browse or bid. www.bonhams.com/auction/3247...

Visited the @romtoronto.bsky.social today. My favourite room is Byzantium Gallery on 3rd storey. This room is never crowded, but also never empty. Coins, glass, and especially mosaics. I know where I am w/ Byzantium. Which is your favourite room?

You have to be a certain kind of Etobikokean to enjoy the northward view across the Queensway, from the food court in Sherway Gardens. Parking lots, hydro lines, stores. But mostly clouds! And beautifully framed. I am that Etobikokean.

I have a mammogram appt, 12 dys from now. My tip: I make an excel sheet, reducing coffee, tea, etc., each day...down to zero by day of the mammgm. I also take an extra-strength Tylenol 1 hour before appt. This has changed the mammogram from a traumatic ordeal to a moderate ordeal for me.

I was fascinated to see the Chappe optical telegraph in last night's episode of The Count of Monte Cristo, @pbs.org . The Count spread false news by drugging the telegraph operator. Think how much mischief he could have done with Internet access. The series, directed by Bille August, is excellent.
