Wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe, ist ein Valvestate-Combo sogar DER Oasis-Sound. So verkehrt scheinen die Dinger nicht zu sein. Das Problem war, dass der Sound förmlich zerfiel, wenn ich die auf Bandlautstärke aufgedreht habe. Leise gespielt waren die OK. Welchen hast Du denn?

Die mit Abstand schrecklichsten Verstärker, die ich je gespielt habe waren ein Marshall S80 8240 Stereo-Chorus Combo und ein 100V 8100 Topteil. Valvestate Serie. Den 8240 habe ich recht lange, auch in den ersten Bands, gespielt. Gruselig! Die Erlösung war dann ein JCM800 mit 2 EV-12L Thiele Boxen. 👊🏻

Das war ein bemerkenswerter Abend in Köln, denn Ian Anderson ließ in die vollständig zugequalmte Halle die Ansage machen, dass er nicht rauskommt, wenn nicht alle sofort das Rauchen einstellen. Großes Geraune, es wurde natürlich weiter gequarzt und das Konzert fand dennoch statt. 😶‍🌫️ #jethrotull

The pickup combination is fantastic. Strangely enough, I only have one guitar with a P90 and a humbucker. It’s a Shergold Masquerader, which I bought 10 years ago in the UK – a guitar designed by Patrick James Eggle, featuring a solid(!) rosewood neck.

It’s difficult to make a general statement here. Despite their quality, they still feel like imported guitars, which is a shame. With perhaps an extra hour’s work on the frets and a slightly higher-quality nut, they could well be in a class of their own in that price range. Either way… I like them.
