This looks great. I'm saving it for when it's hopefully relevant to me (soon?)

If this came out today as a fresh new card what do you think it would cost? 1R + 2? I've never seen this card before so thanks for sharing. I love abilities like these. Perfect ability/flavor synergy

Also, I want to make friending more private and intentional (maybe sharing a private code to 2-way link people) but with an option for making your account discoverable and able to be "followed. Appreciate you!

No, it totally makes sense to me that it would be the best way to go. Seeing you run into an error I didn't know existed got me thinking. I'm going to use this as my RSS daily driver and keep tweaking and iterating the UX and hopefully in a few months have something way more ironclad.

Thank you! Ofc it is 😱😭 It's working for me but I'll get it fixed! I appreciate that input. I wasn't sure if people would want the 2 way sync or not but I'm happy to work on it.

I have thoughts on how I might monetize CommonRSS on commonrss.com/pricing (instead of an actual pricing page.) I'd sure love people's thoughts. I'm not sure if my plan is reasonable/worthwhile/etc #buildinpublic #webdev #solodev #indiedev #maker #rss #saas

@chriscoyier.net I appreciate your fair assessment re: CommonRSS! And I agree with your point about quickly built apps and knowing if they are for real, for the long term. Short answer: I'd love nothing more than to make it a thing! Slightly longer answer: www.studio303.dev/blog/commonr...

I'm thinking that with commonrss.com I want to change the "friend"ing flow to be more intentional. Like code based and no search for people. Only people youve intentionally linked with will you share notes and comments and stuff with #webdev #indiedev #solodev #buildinpublic

A couple days ago @chriscoyier.net mentioned wanting a more social forward RSS reader. I'm a longtime fan so here we are. Chris, if you see this, I hope you like it! I'd love to round it out with a permanent archive and other cool stuff. www.commonrss.com #solodev #buildinpublic

People tell me that using an LLM to create code will rot my programming-language skills. So? We work in a changing landscape, and agility is essential to survive. My goal is not to be the best Python (or whatever) programmer on the planet. 1/9

As for multiple ideas idk. I guess I try to follow whatever is exciting me most. But also not let that derail me once I get to the boring stuff like setting up stripe and all that

Brad Coffield @studio303.bsky.social · 11/03/2026
IMO worry about nothing else until you have the core idea made and confirm it's still something you want to pursue. So focusing on just the easiest way to make it work. So no styles etc. I'd say if you're focused on that a lot of possible todos are able to be tabled, simplifying things.

I’d like to see an explicitly social-forward RSS reader. Like it’s encouraged to highlight passages and leave short comments. Your buds see yours, you see your buds.

I think #ai is generally fantastic but because I love #creativewriting and have been a #fiction writer for a very long time I find myself personally aghast at the idea of having ai write fiction for me. But I love it as a helpful tool which is why I built WorkshopAI the way I did www.workshopai.app

oh... well I haven't looked at Claude code in a few months and it wasnt a clean monthly bill like that. I went through like 100 dollars in a week lol. I'll look into it. windsurf is a code editor with AI coding support built in and you can switch models whenever and I really find it effective
010
Brad Coffield @studio303.bsky.social · 07/08/2025
The big downside for me was the cost. Way more expensive for me than using Windsurf. I found it did a good job for me with wide ranging code reviews and bug fixing.

where they left off and if the things they were being asked to fill out were more long form sorts of content.

Brad Coffield @studio303.bsky.social · 20/03/2025
Generally speaking I'd always vote for 1 for a few reasons. It's just simpler, less mental overhead, less loading times (between steps), more chance of useful "autofill" by my browser. That said I could see 2 being useful if you were saving the state between stages and the user could return to
