She’s doing well. The doctors & nurses seem (cautiously) impressed. She’s developed a dual infection, though (not related to her hip), so my family and I are holding our breath a bit again. I want to get lost in jigsaw puzzles and British murder mysteries, and block out the world, tbh. 😪

Her surgery took about three hours, and the surgeon called my dad to tell him that “everything went great, she did really well!” and that she’s in recovery now. That’s a big sigh of relief, but it doesn’t mean she’s out of the woods yet, obviously. So now we hold our breath and wait some more. 💜
