The UK has approx 10k US personnel and 13 bases here Why not close the bases and expel them if DJT pursues Greenland? No trade war/conflict. Just be clear that former allies don’t get military bases here. NATO nations could announce the same. Surely they’ll close anyway if the US takes Greenland?
