Just frustrating cause I know this is normal body chemistry, feeling post surgery etc and it’s hard to exist in that space and have others understand let alone yourself

Body is getting better but when it aches it aches 😵‍💫 Even with keeping varied activities and talking to people, that post surgery depression feeling creeps in and is hard to push out.

I do love how literally the day before my surgery my watering system breaks down where it won’t automatically water my plants and family’s solution is just “hire this guy we used, pay them cash” Like I have cash sitting around rn

Day three post surgery: I regain my strength and mobility slowly; @cathricorn.bsky.social sprung me from my prison to have tacos and belatedly celebrate their birthday. It was good to get out into the world a little even if my middle feels bloated and sore still.

I don’t think I was lightly under since they did have to intubate as part of the surgery; so of course my throat hurts too.

So I was either very lightly under or become immediatly conscious… I was having full on conversations by the time they got me into recovery.

Surgery went well. Lots of pain and swelling rn and it hurts to move my middle at. I’m wide awake tho and actually woke up in the operating room just as they got me onto the gurney immediatly after they took me off anesthesia… Had to be held down and yelled at because I tried to get up…

Of course we get flood level raining overnight. Side street next to my house water was up to a cars door, the closest street to go to a main, water was halfway up my tires. If I had a non SUV I wouldn’t have been able to leave my neighbors hood. Soon to hospital for check in.

Hernia repair; been suffering from it for months now; it was finally scheduled for now. Hopefully is routine but abdominal surgery is abdominal surgery.

Body woke me up here at 3am after only e hours of sleeps, zzz Tired, but uhg ill say preop not being allowed water after midnight is rough even with hydrating heavily the previous day and night is rough I know how gizmo felt now!

Today was a loooooong day Cleaned front and back yard very deeply Cleaned entire house, again super deeply Mom came over and helped me decorate some of my Fall and Halloween decorations (and by mine I mean she went on a shopping spree on QVC)… At least I don’t have to do anything for months! 😂
