For years I thought that Sega held back on localizing Phantasy Star Online 2 (once THE white whale of Japanese online game localizations) simply because they lacked the resources pre-Atlus acquisition but all the woodwork regarding Nagoshi coming out lately might be painting a different picture...

i do at least get what they were going for the character deigns better than with SF tho. yusuke nakano's designs are inseparable from OoT so sprucing them up with 2020s tech, even if they didn't wholly stick the landing, was a sensible call.
