On occasion, the thought crosses my mind of how different things would be if I had... a companion of sorts. I don't let the thought linger overlong. Tracing over the threads of time taught me it's best not to linger on an impossibility. They'd be the first to go from my fractured mind, anyhow.

I am... waiting still, even now. In this place no one can escape from—a place ever suspended, ever barred from touching the sky... Yet in the midst of my yearning, I find this device. A logo shaped as a butterfly. ...Ironic. I suppose this will tide me over for now, until that awaited day may come.
