Watching this team right now is infuriating. So here’s a mozzarella stick.

Captain’s first time back to Austin in 15 years. First and only stop, Cooper’s Old Time Pit Bar-B-Que. I can’t breathe.

Unexpected trip to London called for a visit to the Royal Festive Hall for an all Mozart program. Symphonies 39,40 and 41, all played by the SUPERB Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, an ensemble I have been listening to for 3 decades. I had no idea they were based in London. What a special treat

The Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship Fund is proud to announce that as of today, January 9th, 2026, the 2026 application window is now OPEN and will close on March 31st, 2026 at Midnight PDT.

We encourage applicants to carefully review the eligibility requirements, including the new requirements for 2026 listed below.

In addition to the requirement to major in aviation or an equivalent field, applicants for the 2026 scholarship:

- Must have completed at least ONE FULL YEAR at an accredited 4-year college/university program located within the United States.
- Must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

Unfortunately at this time, high school students are NOT eligible.

Last year, the scholarship reviewed a record-breaking 750+ applicants, and as a result, we have decided to increase the standards for the 2026 season. In 2025, the Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship awarded over $45,000 in total to our top applicants, representing winners from various collegiate aviation programs across the United States

Please visit www.dahlfund.org to apply, or scan the QR code on this flyer.

We highly encourage all applicants to submit applications well-prior to the window closing date to ensure there are no errors or issues with your application.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out by emailing us at info@dahlfund.org.

We appreciate your interest in our program and wish all of our applicants the best of luck.

The Captain Jason Dahl Scholarship Fund has awarded $581,000 to 269 winners since 2002, and is committed to supporting the future of aviation in memory of Captain Jason M. Dahl of United 93 who perished on September 11th, 2001.

flying any higher than before — the LGA departure has had a minimum climb gradient for decades. The main difference is that louder aircraft, such as the MD-88, have been retired. The overall noise profile has decreased due to advancements in engine technology, and the lateral move from Shea to Citi.

Another pathetic performance. When will this team wake up?

First Minor League Baseball game in the books, with a cameo by Jessie Winker! I had absolutely no clue he was in the lineup. Nice to see a winning team….. because, well, you know. The Cyclones have a great atmosphere, despite it being disgustingly hot.
