I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m enjoying it

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 11/10/2026

I’m a little lost on my drawing journey right now. So returning to my roots with robots only this time mechanised limbs with human anatomy.

Really burnt out at the moment but have a Morgan.

Comparing a study in pen versus pencil and pen. I do like how much looser the pen only feels, though finer details suffer

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Trying to stay motivated. Logging some studies, trying to use less lines and more thought.

Day 4 of #INKTOBER Today’s words were cactus and sextoy I kind of went off the concept halfway through but felt compelled to finish it.

New sketchbook, new studies.

Day 2 of #INKTOBER #kinktober is “relic” and “shibari” The result is a cursed shibari mask!

Back to my roots. Mech doodles. #sketch

Day 1 of #INKTOBER and #kinktober Apple & Riding Didn’t spend that long on this one. Day 2 will be more a labor of love.

Pretty happy with this original piece wanted a somewhat dynamic pose. The leg placement feels a little off so might do some anatomy learning on the pelvis but I think I can see my face studies have paid off a bit

Weapon studies. Had a lot of fun with these. Followed it up with an original piece without reference.

Some quicker studies from last night.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 26/09/2026

Back to full body studies. But going to try my hand with timed gesture studies again starting tomorrow.

Drawing from imagination this evening.

010

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Having a lot of fun just studying faces. Eye placements are getting better I think.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Enjoying these studies, faces are interesting as hell and the smallest details can change so much.

020

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I feel like I have gotten good with bodies, but faces less so. Time to do face studies for awhile. Learnt a lot about eyebrows today.

Quick sketch of Morgan in a friendly disagreement with a gang member. #ofthedevil

Should I use ink again as part of my studies, I definitely like it for parts of the rendering

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Trying to put what I learnt into practice. The cowardly knight.

010

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Today is the day I started locking in on my studies. Focussing on overlapping forms and just learning from cool references. #sketch

Today’s studies especially proud of the one on the right #sketch

Today’s studies. Starting to enjoy the rendering of the shadows the small details which give the form. The nose is subtle and sometimes less is more.

Struggling to find time and energy lately. But posting in spite of that!

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Putting what I’ve learnt to practice in digital. I definitely feel the progress.

Today’s studies are smoking studies. Works been a slog these past few weeks, but these are my window into a peaceful mind

010

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Some relaxing morning studies.

020

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I think I did quite well on this one. Using multiple pencil types makes doing some of the details much easier.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Loved this one so much I did a study in pencil to see if I could replicate some of the clothing rendering. Learnt a lot.

Today’s studies and sketches

010

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Might as well post my studies too. Been enjoying pencil work lately. Pen taught me so much about how to draw.

000

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Really loving my new pencils. Drawn from imagination, after some gesture studies recently.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Decided to do a basic colour of my sketch. Far from perfect but practice makes perfect. Enjoy a sultry Morgan #otdevil

New pencils (bottom two sketches) and focussing on gesture in my studies. Like these a lot.

010

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Trying more elaborate compositions. Maybe I’ll colour this one later. #otdevil

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

The last few days I’ve been enjoying doing some gesture/pose studies in the morning.

Experimenting with procreate pencil instead of round brushing everything

010

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Some bonus unhinged sketches.

010

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Went out today to a cafe and just told myself draw what comes to mind. Super happy with the results. Yes I might be more than a little obsessed with mech pilots and plugsuits #sketch

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 04/09/2026

Found my groove again. Just drew what came to mind… of course it’s my comfort character - Morgan. Pencil or pen which do you prefer? #ofthedevil
