Maybe a bit ambitious but might have a go at this!

Having a lot of fun just studying faces. Eye placements are getting better I think.

Enjoying these studies, faces are interesting as hell and the smallest details can change so much.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 21/09/2026

I feel like I have gotten good with bodies, but faces less so. Time to do face studies for awhile. Learnt a lot about eyebrows today.

Quick sketch of Morgan in a friendly disagreement with a gang member. #ofthedevil

Should I use ink again as part of my studies, I definitely like it for parts of the rendering

Trying to put what I learnt into practice. The cowardly knight.

Today is the day I started locking in on my studies. Focussing on overlapping forms and just learning from cool references. #sketch

Today’s studies especially proud of the one on the right #sketch

Today’s studies. Starting to enjoy the rendering of the shadows the small details which give the form. The nose is subtle and sometimes less is more.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

Struggling to find time and energy lately. But posting in spite of that!

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Putting what I’ve learnt to practice in digital. I definitely feel the progress.

Today’s studies are smoking studies. Works been a slog these past few weeks, but these are my window into a peaceful mind

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Some relaxing morning studies.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I think I did quite well on this one. Using multiple pencil types makes doing some of the details much easier.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Loved this one so much I did a study in pencil to see if I could replicate some of the clothing rendering. Learnt a lot.

Today’s studies and sketches

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Really loving my new pencils. Drawn from imagination, after some gesture studies recently.

Decided to do a basic colour of my sketch. Far from perfect but practice makes perfect. Enjoy a sultry Morgan #otdevil

New pencils (bottom two sketches) and focussing on gesture in my studies. Like these a lot.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Trying more elaborate compositions. Maybe I’ll colour this one later. #otdevil

The last few days I’ve been enjoying doing some gesture/pose studies in the morning.

Experimenting with procreate pencil instead of round brushing everything

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Went out today to a cafe and just told myself draw what comes to mind. Super happy with the results. Yes I might be more than a little obsessed with mech pilots and plugsuits #sketch

Found my groove again. Just drew what came to mind… of course it’s my comfort character - Morgan. Pencil or pen which do you prefer? #ofthedevil

Dump of work across last few days. Hopefully things will calm down by weekend.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

Not been posting as much lately, been doing lots of smaller studies, trying to internalise proportions, rotating the anatomy etc. Trying not to burn out as works been pretty busy too, but hoping I can do a fun little project this weekend.

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

More low fidelity art trying to incorporate anatomy knowledge into construction. Maybe it’s time to do a new proper illustration soon…

Today finally got around to furthering my anatomy studies. Upper torso, I finally understand shoulders. And how arms fit!

Strifers @strifepunk.bsky.social · 29/08/2026

Did some anatomy studies today and probably going to keep doing studies till it becomes second nature.

Really like this study, getting a little better at drawing faces and hands.

Experimenting with combining mechanical with human anatomy, is it working ? #sketch

Today’s piece a #lancer study in pencil and ink. Struggling for energy today but pushed through it!

Slowly getting back into doing digital here and there. Keeping it basic for now.
