My 5-year old has become very interested in double pendulums and chaos and so I had to draw a diagram to try and explain to him what angles are. I still don’t know how much he is really grasping but I enjoyed doodling for him 🥰

Oh yes, we did that. We are also are the people who then decided the expensive home setup wasn’t enough so we are starting our own coffee shop off the PBL in our city.

Current home setup espresso bar, Lelit Bianca. Not pictured is a Niche grinder and our puck press, distributor, WDT, dissolved solids measuring device and other coffee obsessed tools.

Working on the first of 19 squares for the Diamond Heirloom Blanket with Lion Brand Yarn Cotton DK in cream. It’s very pretty, although I think the increase side looks a little wonky. I might do a modified single crochet for the chain 3s at the beginning of the row for the next square..

Changed the brakes on my VanMoof. Every time I want to get rid of this bike it’s like “oh hey, I’m pretty easy to maintain” and I’m like uhg I gotta keep it.

Playing a little bit of yarn chicken with this I-cord bind off for my affectionately named Mermaid dress. Yarn is Hobbii rainbow cotton 6/8 in lots of colors. Pattern is Tamarin Dress by Muki Crafts (start as size small with Chinese waitress cast-on, no waist decreases, finish top as size L).

And done. Deets in alt text. I’m so much faster at crochet than knitting and I also don’t mind weaving in ends in crochet.

Pattern is heavily modified from the Knitcroaddict Summer Crochet Cropped Top pattern. I used lionbrand 24/7 cotton for the purple and Drops Paris orange for the orange. I added two extra rows for length and armpit depth to the top of the pattern. Two rows of single crochet around the arm holes and neck hole. Size 5MM crochet hook for the gauge of yarn.

Since I started as a crochet crafter I have a ton of different sized crochet hooks. I can’t imagine doing a three needle bind off this without a crochet hook!

I’ve been putting this off for a month at least. Very vague pattern for a beginner-oriented project. The pattern basically says “pick up stitches, work in 1x1 and good luck” 😩

Brought the little scooter to pick up kiddo #1 with kiddo #2 on the back. If apartments had proper e-bike parking I wouldn’t need to use the elevator, but at least it fits.

Yes, every day back and fourth to school! How would you do underbody lights? I think something under the foot rests would be cool. TBH never thought about bike lights but my brain is usually fried from all the taking-care-of-kids.

Knitting up Simple Little Scarf by North Road Knits. 5mm needles with Hobbii Friends Cotton in random scrap colors. This is a bit tricky for a beginner scarf. I couldn’t recommend it for anyone learning how to knit.
