A slightly rotund meerkat sitting like a human. He has two nipples. Over his tail there is a donut with a bite out of it. The meerkat is full of regret

A sea green cat that is slightly misshapen to fit the shape of the paper as if he has been squeezed into a box. His back legs are folded over to reveal lilac toe beans. Shifty eyes as usual.

For the theme of #friends - I’m lucky to have some wonderful inky friends! We meet up regularly ish to collaborate on printy projects! Harriet, Gemma, Nicole & I met through social media at first - part of our motivation to start #printpromptmonday. More info in alt text and video in next post…

Four women holding up a huge tapestry style lino print - handprinted with many blocks in warm yellow, red, seafoam green, dusky blue and peachy pink. The theme for the piece was “joy”

Another plate sgraffito-ed today! Not sure of the plan for this one yet - it’s a smaller back up for the one in an earlier post (destined for a giveaway)… #sgraffito #ceramics #pottery #carving #printmaking

A plate - not yet fired - painted with orange underglaze, fading to yellow on the edge of the plate. Shifty eyes have been carved into the clay at the center with feathers radiating from there all the way to the edge of the plate

A clay thrown plated, not fired yet. Painted with underglaze in a blue to turquoise gradient (turquoise in the middle, blue around the outside). The colour is carved away to reveal six cats lounging on a round rug.

I’m still half hoping to print something new for #printpromptmonday but incase not… here’s a very tenuous link to the theme of “foliage” A print from ages ago. The chameleon is on a twig. Twigs are sometimes attached to leaves. Foliage. #foliage ~ #printmaking #printsky #linoprint #art #artshare

A linoprint of a chameleon sitting on a twig. The chameleon is printed in blue and has just caught an insect printed in red.

The same print but with a REAL CHAMELEON in the foreground

A bit of a throwback - that’s me holding up the original linoprint of “I’m Just A Paw Boy From A Paw Family” 70 x 50cm (Now sold out and made into a fluoro pink Riso print!) #printmaking #art #illustration #womensart #print #reliefprint #woodcut #reductionprint #cat

Me (female, red hat, blonde hair, unenthusiastic subject) holding a large linoprint - a cat printed in seafoam green that looks as though it’s squashed into the shape of a box. The toe beans of its back legs are printed in lilac. Shifty eyes as always.

Some little carved friends! I’ve been doing these recently to explore ideas and textures… #printmaking #print #illustration #reliefprint #art

A series of small carved stamps featuring weird creatures - each with a sort of expressionless human face. The top one is kind of a fish, then a moth, then a furry quadruped, then a frog and lastly a lion. The stamps are arranged vertically on the left, the corresponding images they print are on the right. The printed images are alternating teal and orange.

Last year I was invited to leave my safe (warm) print making nest and dabble in a bit of street art… this was my first attempt in East Belfast 👀 #streetart #grafitti #urbanart #spraypaintart #streetartist #printmaking

A roadside junction box, about a meter high and wide - painted so that it has a deep blue base covered with painted bright pink fur. There are eyes stencilled to look as though they’re looking out from under the fur
