Die Vertretung ist auch verbessert worden, z. B. ist in Georgia die Summe für Anwaltskosten AUF 2.500$ gedeckelt worden und ein Siebtel der Todeskandidaten ist aus dem Gefängnis entlassen worden; DNA hat da Wunder gewirkt. Das hat beim Umdenken mit geholfen, aber es ist noch ein langer Weg.

Die Todesstrafe war der Grund, warum ich mich seit den Achtzigern angefangen habe mit den USA zu beschäftigen und mein Englisch zu verbesseren. Seitdem hat sich einiges verbessert: z. B. weniger Staaten und keine Todesstrafe für geistig Behinderte und Kinder.
