I looked through ross and Marshall’s recently but both stores only had maybe 1-2 shoes in my size total and not the type i was looking for. My fit always ends up seeming so particular that being able to try on a lot of different models is crucial.

Do you generally have good luck ordering your regular size and it just fits? I usually have to try on half a dozen shoes to get a good fit each time

Where do people go these days for good mid-priced shoe shopping? I dont buy walmart type shoes that'll fall apart in a month anymore. But I dont want to pay REI prices except for whatever my main hiking boots are. I used to do this shopping at fred meyer but they hardly stock shoes at all anymore.

Impressions of They Odyssey having finally seen it. (Not really spoilers). Pros: i like the visuals. I loved the emphasis on practical effects and the set building, and the shooting locations. Directing was pretty top notch but it has the kind of……sterility i feel from Christopher Nolan films….
