Brian Donovan had persuaded high school teachers and education researchers that prejudice might be ended by changing how genetics is taught.

in real terms, #7 would give states leverage to put an end to surges, #8 would give states the ability to outright stop construction of new detention facilities, #1 and #6 would slow the rate at which DHS could train and deploy officers, #2 and #10 would likely shrink the pool of recruits

The 78-year-old Janet Mills has a very inspiring campaign message: "I'm too old to care."
Asked how hard the race would be, Mills deadpanned.

“None of it’s going to be easy, but hey, what are they going to do to me?” she said. “I’m too old to care.”

They entered the country legally. They had a pending asylum case. They had zero criminal history. They were going to the hospital to address their child's nosebleed. Now they're all in a cage somewhere down in Texas.

@JoshEakle • Jan 24
ICE abducted an entire family with a pending asylum case from a hospital parking lot.
The family was there to take their 7 year old daughter to the ER.

"Adventist Health Portland is here for ir community, open, available, and ready to provide care when it's eded most. Patient care remains our priority, regardless of cumstances."

There are definitely people who want the Democratic party to pick a program that Liz Cheney would feel comfortable getting on board with. I think the influence of those people is widely exaggerated, but they definitely exist.

There are also people who rage about any criticism of the Democratic party. As if it's not possible to vote for a party and still demand it be better than it is.

I just had a first run-in with a lot of very angry Dem zealots for daring to say whoever Democrats run in 2028 shouldnt have been involved in obfuscating Biden's cognitive issues during the campaign, and that it was a fact that Biden circa 2024 was not the same as Biden circa 2020.

Republicans in New Hampshire are currently advancing two bills which would allow landlords to evict anyone 'not lawfully present' in the United States, and make it a felony for undocumented immigrants to not affirmatively disclose to their landlords if they are undocumented.

I know it's much more comforting to view the world in absolutist black and white, but it's possible for someone to vote for Harris and simultaneously feel the Democratic party failed to give her or any other candidate the best chance to prevent our current fascist hellscape.

It's not his stutter that concerned voters. We need to be honest about what the issue was; he repeatedly struggled to recall words, mixed up names and dates, all the regular signs of age-relates cognitive decline. And 6 months after the election it came out he was suffering advanced stage IV cancer.

Seeing that photo of Obama putting the Medal of Freedom on Tom Homan circulate again. It's fake. Homan did get a civil service award during the Obama administration, but it wasn't the Medal of Freedom, it wasn't a medal (it was a certificate), and Obama didn't present it to him in person.

Federal judge has ordered the release of Liam Ramos (the bunny hat boy) and his father. A brief and rather remarkable order. Clearly written to be shared widely, so please do. storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.us...
Ultimately, Petitioners may, because of the arcane United States immigration system, return to
their home country, involuntarily or by self-deportation. But that result should occur through a more
orderly and humane policy than currently in place.
Philadelphia, September 17, 1787: "Well, Dr. Franklin, what do we have?" "A republic, if you
can keep it."
With a judicial finger in the constitutional dike,
It is so ORDERED.
SIGNED this 31st day of February, 2026.

Absolute amateur hour at DOJ; they didn’t even respond to a “hey you forgot to attach the thing” request.
This complaint warrants dismissal.
The Subject Judge's March 11 Comment. The primary theory of the complaint is that the judge made an improper statement at the Judicial Conference on March 11 about the risk that the Administration would not comply with federal judicial rulings. This claim fails to establish a cognizable basis of misconduct. First, it lacks "sufficient evidence" to support the allegations. Judicial-Conduct Rule 11(c)(1)(D). Here is the key allegation in the complaint: "On March 11, 2025, at one of the Conference's semiannual meetings, Judge Boasberg disregarded its history, tradition, and purpose to push a wholly unsolicited discussion about 'concerns that the Administration would disregard rulings of federal courts, leading to a constitutional crisis. By singling out a sitting President who was (and remains) a party to dozens of active cases, Judge Boasberg attempted to transform a routine housekeeping agenda into a forum to persuade the Chief Justice and other federal judges of his preconceived belief that the Trump Administration would violate court orders."Compl. Compl. at The The Department identified one source of evide, Attachment A, for the judge's statement and for the setting in which it occurred. The complaint, however, did not include the attachment
The D.C. Circuit contacted the
Department about the missing attachment and exp
ed that, if it failed to submit the
attachment, the circuit would consider the complaint as submitted. The Department did not supply the attachment.
