On reflection, perhaps it's a shame that Doctor Who: Tardis Crew has reverted to the boy hero, girl sidekick model. I suppose it is too much to hope that the Doctor would use gender-neutral pronouns, given how the BBC is, but girl hero, boy sidekick would have been nice.

JW Daisies, original Czech title Sedmikrásky (dir: Věra Chytilová, 1966) for the first time. It is possibly the most 1960s thing in any medium ever.

I can do you a two-for-one on that. (See ALT text.)
Publicity still for "Doctor's Daughters", an ATV sitcom from 1981, showing Lesley Duff and Victoria Burgoyne, two young women in early 1980s styles. Their characters were both also doctors, but it was their status as daughters that mattered, as society (or TV writers) required that women must belong to men. As I recall (after 45 years), episode 1 ended with them tearing off their clothes to make bandages. I didn't watch again. And yes, Victoria Burgoyne would have been in Shada.

Other than that ... TSR-2 was a British military aircraft project that was cancelled in 1965, angering military aviation enthusiasts - probably including quite a few APF model-makers. Is it coincidence that its name appears in the last Thunderbirds episode made after the series was also cancelled?

I'm way behind on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, and only just watched A Space Adventure Hour (s3). I was distracted by the fact that Paul Wesley, as the actor who plays the captain in the fake 1960s TV show The Last Frontier, looks much more like Jeffrey Hunter (in The Cage) than William Shatner.

I love the persistent idea that Daleks roll along on a big ball bearing, like giant Rolykins. Anyway, have a Trod (key in Vworp! Vworp! Volume 4).
Cutaway drawing showing the inside of a Trod robot (from the TV Comic Doctor Who comic strip) All components are items that would have been around in the mid-1960s, including a Van Der Graaf generator, a lava lamp, a large horseshoe magnet, a transistor radio, a car battery and so on. Art by me, Steven Flanagan.

I was struck by the entry for Tues 24 Nov 1966 in @davidbrunt.bsky.social's splendid Doctor Who Production Diary - The Troughton Years, which records Twickenham Studios as having already commenced construction work for Terry Nation's Dalek pilot. So set design drawings and plans must have existed.

As @hermeticopus.bsky.social has said, it's called Doc Martin. A US version, called Best Medicine, came out this year. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doc_Mar...
Passage from Wikipedia, reading:
Plot
Dr Martin Ellingham (Martin Clunes), a brilliant and successful vascular surgeon at Imperial College London,[5] develops haemophobia – a fear of blood – forcing him to stop practising surgery. He obtains a post as the sole general practitioner (GP) in the sleepy Cornish village of Portwenn, where he had spent childhood holidays with his Aunt Joan (Stephanie Cole), who owns a local farm. Upon arriving in Portwenn – where, to his frustration, the locals address him as "Doc Martin" – he finds the surgery in chaos and inherits an incompetent receptionist, Elaine Denham (Lucy Punch). In series 2–4, she is replaced by Pauline Lamb (Katherine Parkinson), a new receptionist, and later also a phlebotomist. In Series 5, Morwenna Newcross (Jessica Ransom) takes up the post.

The programme revolves around Ellingham's interactions with the local Cornish villagers. Despite his medical excellence, Ellingham is grouchy and abrupt, and lacks social skills. His direct, emotionless manner offends many villagers, made worse by his invariably unpleasant responses to their ignorant, often foolish, comments. They perceive him to be hot-tempered and lacking in a bedside manner.

So, given that the first broadcast of The Muppet Show was 50 years ago yesterday (in the UK), and the first broadcast of Star Trek was 60 years ago today (in Canada), here's a joke painting by Bob Larkin from 46 years and several months ago.
Scan of a rather battered copy of Crazy No. 60, published by Marvel with a cover date of March 1980. It shows Admiral Kirk and Mr Spock (in their Slow Motion Picture costumes) looking shocked as the transporter beams aboard the Pigs in Spaaaaace: Captain Link Hogthrob, Miss Piggy, and Dr Julius Strangepork. Piggy is saying, "That DOES it!"
