And it builds on itself! Like if I skip them bc of this anxiety then the next time I come across them it's reinforced! "I know I looked at this profile. I remember this pfp for sure." But I can't remember if I previously followed or skipped out of fear - so now I'm even more nervous about it.

An anxiety that I have is that sometimes I come across accounts I think I've seen before and I'm surprised I'm not yet following... and I panic because I dont know if I just missed them previously or if I've been soft blocked for something and now I'm inadvertently harassing them by refollowing.

Yes! Honestly seeing things like this keeps me going - sometimes things feel so dire and then I see younger people not only in the streets, but bringing joy to protest. Actions like these make fighting back feel so much more sustainable from a psychological perspective.
