I cannot emphasize enough that the attempts to anthropomorphize an algorithm is a fundamental act of journalistic malpractice and an intentional act to shield the people responsible for this. It's fucking shameful.

i also wish the mc were a bit less relatable

a quote from the webnovel "if i don't become the main character i'll die"
"As the days drag on, there will come a time when I’ll have to give up my dreams. But I don’t know when that time will be. I don’t know how to recognize that moment or how to admit my failures when it arrives. It’s a path where stability and financial prosperity aren’t guaranteed, yet the moment I say, “I keep going because I enjoy it,” I’m expected to naturally possess the passion and effort to surpass others. As the period of namelessness drags on, I find myself increasingly doubting my enthusiasm. In an era where the pursuit of dreams and success has become a mythological, almost obligatory task that everyone seems to aspire to, I feel the pressure to chase that obligation myself. Yet, the reality of sleeping aimlessly every day while remaining stagnant weighs heavily on me."

"If I Don’t Become the Main Character, I’ll Die" was the biggest surprise of this year. the most affectionate and slowest of slowburns, but also a work of love for storytelling

Turning has the potential to become a 5 star read. I don't usually like omegaverse much, but the trope is so minimal here that I breezed through the first 1000 chapters. now i have to learn how to buy the next chapters and mtl them

some of KJCharles works hit more than others but she's always a delight to read. I also finally collected the magpie lord series in paperback, so it's time for a reread

the second half of lord of mysteries a the beginning of the year set the bar high and still has me craving for more horror, but i haven't read much of the genre and haven't found another book that scratches that itch yet
