Three very similar members of the Woolly Bear Caterpillar Ensemble Model (WBCEM) from Lake Somerset today. With all the rain that we've had I'm surprised that I have yet to see an all black member. This only strengthens my feeling that this winter will be quite mild.

The 2026 Pennsylvania tornado count is now at 5️⃣0️⃣! 🌪️ #PAwx A 10th tornado from July 18th in Centre County has been confirmed. The tornado impacted a very remote location complicating the survey. Additionally, the NWS in State College has been very busy the past 2 months.
