Read our study sharing the experiences of 46 women's antenatal education. Birth expectations are informed by Antenatal Education - if it isn't balanced - a mismatch between expectations and experience may be precipitated. An antenatal education curriculum is needed! doi.org/10.1186/s128...

We found a high burden of maternal death following CS in this low-resource setting, particularly related to infection. Multiple health systems factors contributed.There is urgent need to develop and trial interventions to improve the safety of CS in such settings #maternalhealth
