A copper whisky still, fires burning, in the remote Scottish highlands built from a cruck frame and turf roof.

An inventor showing an RSPCA (Royal Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) inspector the dog feeding mechanism he has built in action. A dog is running on a treadmill which is causing some weights to lift, which when they drop, powers a complex set of gears which release the dog, including dog food and carrots which are diced as they slide into the bowl which has already been washed by the mechanism.
In English: "I've built AI into the contraption you see at the back which harnesses the power of the dog on the treadmill to lift some weights.

And when they drop at a given point it all whirls at a pace, stops the treadmill, washes the dog's bowl, releases and chops the feed as it slides down to the dog, it's very good, and works most of the time.

Sadly if the dog's too big it's done for but the AI is very good hearted and is very very sorry every time."

In the foreground Milady in a large hooded crimson cloak and holding a hand sized crossbow fires a deadly bolt into a mercenaries neck and catches the bag of gold coins as it drops from his lifeless hand. In the background in front of a burning fortress the three musketeers look on in amazement.
