I ran Big Game Hunters a #fabtcg event this weekend. It was designed to be a bit like old school magic where players put up ante. There were also so flavourful twists and turns as players each received a unique Blessing of Chaos or Blessing of Dracai to use during the event. 4x commoner into CC T8.

Hunter or Hunted. I'm hosting my second event at my LGS next weekend. Some flavourful additions being prepared. The games might not be as hard as reading my handwriting :P If you're in New Zealand and want to sign up you can do so here: novagames.co.nz/collections/...

I'm running my second event at a local store in New Zealand. This one is Hunted themed. As such, participants bring along a bounty of cards and claim bounties from others for each game they win. Excited to put together another event and do something a bit different for the community :)

Won my Road to Nationals here in New Zealand playing Oscilio. Taking out 3x CYB decks in the top 8, including beating Calling Champion Matt Rogers and Guardian legend Cayle McCreath. Ecstatic with the result!

Day two of the #fabtcg Calling Christchurch on Oscillio with a 5-2 record. Very proud to get this far after setting my goal for the event at 1 win. Looking forward to the games today :)

It's New Years eve here in New Zealand, wishing all the #fabtcg family a happy New Year and a 2025 filled with great friends and great games.

One thing I like about TCGs is that they are often welcoming of people who are a bit different in one way or another. The communities are usually a little odd in someway, and so if someone else comes along who doesn't quite fit a societal norm, then they are welcomed in as one of the same. 1/x

While the Calling Kuala Lumpur and Battle Harden Wellington took place this weekend, alongside Skirmish season ... the REAL #fabtcg main event of the weekend was the Battle for Candlehold that I hosted at a local store, check out this write up if you're curious :)

There's so many unhelpful and inaccurate views on mental health in social media. My supervisor gave a wonderful articulation of my experience as a therapist today when he said "Years ago, psycho-education used to be about teaching people new ideas, now it is about getting them to discard ideas".

A big of a throwback draft of #fabtcg with friends over the weekend. I was the one of Iyslander ... as evidenced by the seven Aether Iceviens :P Only played two rounds, but went 2-0 beating a 1/4 Dromai and a 1/3 Fai. Draft is probably my favourite format of FaB.

I'm hosting my own #fabtcg event at a local store, a thematic event called the Battle of Candlehold. Probably a bit far for those not in Auckland, New Zealand, but I wanted to share some of the prizes and prep for it :) First time doing something like this! Commoner, Constructed, and Draft.

Part two (the final part) of a #fabtcg fiction that I wrote. Part one is in the comments if you're interested. A group of men adventure in the Savage Lands, will they come out with their humanity intact? Will they come out at all?

Well, last time wasn't my last WTR draft. This time a draft pod of ten with five Bravo and no Brutes ... but there was a reason I didn't swap - 3 Drones of Brutality in one draft. A bit of an oversight in blocking cost me, leading to a 2-1 result. Another great nostalgia draft! #fabtcg

Maybe the last WTR draft I'll ever take place in, who knows? But, if so, feels good to go out on a 3-0 as a one-of Katsu :P Also, had the great experience of a newer player at the draft opening the Heart of Fyendal and then, in his prize pack, a foil Enlightened Strike! #fabtcg
