Yeah, that‘s what most people forget when talking about saving the planet. W/o abolishing poverty and give everyone a decent standard of living, people are left behind. This manifest very clearly with EVs. Cars for people with money, 2/3 of society can’t afford. not only in the US.

Are you playing with the latest Catalog version of CrankBoy? Next version will have 2 new Gray Auto modes and a Gamma setting so you can dial in the „colors“ even more. Also some major performance improvements are on its way.

We already have CGB support. But we consider it experimental. Next release (2.3.0) will have improved CGB performance. The main issue is with games that run in constant double speed mode. That currently is something we struggle. Such games currently run at about 65% performance.

Crankboy on the Playdate is one of the neatest little apps on the platform. Sure, it's just a game boy emulator but it turns out the Playdate is perfect for that, and OG GB games hold up pretty well 30+ years on.

Yeah the Playdate is amazing. People complained about the price and the lack of a backlight. But the recent events, like price hikes for games and consoles, and Sonys shenanigans makes it a much more viable option. Open platform, easy to develop for and still quite cheap all things considered.
