So this was the reason for the Iran War all along. He drove up gas prices so there wouldn't be an outrage when basically lifted sanctions against Russia.

If the next administration doesn't prosecute these officers and the leadership that allowed this to happen, we have failed and Democracy will end. There has to be a real reckoning for all of this or it will just return.

You can investigate the truth claims of every religion. Christianity isn’t special. Apply the same standards of evidence to Christianity that Christians apply to every other religion, and it fares no better. Also, we investigated. Turns out it’s not true. Sorry!

This is exactly why we oppose prayer at city council meetings. Everyone supports government prayer until it’s a religion they don’t like. Government should represent everyone, not privilege one religion over another.

I get so irritated w/ outrageous headlines. I just read "Jason Kelce breaks silence on Lane Johnson retirement." Implying Kelce's been holding back some dirt. But he commented about 24-36 hours after the Johnson announcement. He wasn't holding out, he was waiting for his next podcast episode.

I just gave it a quick listen. I like it. It's doing something new.

As for Watchtower, I'd recommend going back and relisten to Dylan. It's powerful as well. Jimi's is great. He's definitely bringing something new to it, and I respect that. But that Dylan Harmonica is just perfectly off just enough to bring real mournfulness Jimi lacks.

Just like The Byrds, it's fine. They are all part of a trend at the time to smooth down Dylan, and other artists, and make them palatable to the pop audience. They add harmonies and slick production. It's great Dylan's poetry finds a wider audience, but it misses the soul of the originals.

I will say G'n'R's Heaven's Door comes really close to the Dylan original, but I still give it to ol' Bob. He just has so much soul in his vocals and guitar, he's hard to beat.

The Bryds are fine. Adele is--well--Adele. Joan doesn't really bring much new to the table. Jimi's Watchtower is great, but Dylan is still better. Dylan is the better singer and his stripped back instrumentation, especially the harmonica vs guitar solo fits the theme way better.

The disparity in phlebotomist skills is insane. I've had a ton of blood draws for various reasons, not health related, and I am amazed that sometimes I don't even feel it while others feel like someone drove a nail in my arm.

I maintain that 90% drivers, including all professional drivers, are NOT qualified to be on the road. Between road rage, utter disreguard of the rules, and distractions few people should be allowed to maneuver a 2 ton vehicle in public.

I heard about the film. I got excited to see it, even though it would enrage me and just confirm what I already know. Then I heard it is four hours. I don't think I can do that. I might wait for streaming and treat it as an 8 part series for my own sanity.

There was a recent movie about a returning Soldier that wanted to get back to her unit in Afghanistan. She used one military term erroneously. It's something every Soldier during GWOT would know, but the character used it wrong at least a dozen times. It totally ruined a good movie.

So many military movies get it wrong. Not talking about deep technical data, advanced fighting tactics, or classified information. I'm talking about simple mundane culture, jargon, and traditions. I can always tell when a movie didn't have a single service member read a script before shooting.

It means cutting red tape to make it quicker and cheaper to actually build. It means reexamining how abandoned and obsolete buildings can be repurposed. None of that costs taxpayers. It, in fact, allows developers to make money, increasing the tax base through additional property taxes.

It means easing zoning codes to allow for more variety of dwelling types. It means not letting neighborhoods suppress multi-family, apartments, and ADUs in the name of property values. It means eliminating parking minimums, allowing developers to build more units.
