I got a new toy. Cats like it. Got it to relax with on hot days when my bedroom's the only place in the apartment with an air conditioner.

The room is mostly dark, with the only light coming from a very bright purple light show being projected from the foot of the bed. There's bisexual and gender queer pride flags on the wall, dark purple curtains, and a portable air conditioner, all bathed in the purple glow of the light show..

Finally replaced the old cat tree that's been lovingly scratched to death. Misty immediately approved. I suspect that dangling toy won't last a day -- they never do.

Last year I set myself a simple goal as a New Year's resolution: write something, every day. To hold myself accountable I set up a spreadsheet to track how much I wrote every day and what it was for. The result:

The novelty Grinch cereal being essentially just green Kixs with the Lucky Charms marshmallow hearts is very funny to me. Was throwing in a Santa hat or Max's face too resource intensive? (Yes I am a grown adult who buys myself novelty cereals. So sue me the colors make me happy.)
