I've found the worsst part of moving and it's the odds and ends time. like things you uncover and you're like ah fuck the box this would have been in probably is already moved. and then also you just have like other Random Objects you find and it's like fuuuuck how do I organie you. Random box go

It's kind of embarassing/demoralizing to be like "I can't draw anything in perspective" so I think I get discouraged to try which is stupid! But confidence can be built and hopefully by the end of the year I can at least understand one point perspective. Genuine goal

150

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 04/10/2026

Like I struggle with one point perspective and I'm not kidding lol it's bad

140

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 04/10/2026

I'm laughably bad at perspective and no matter how hard I try I can't understand it but I think I'm just going to start doing shitty life drawings without perspective lines to just get comfortable with the idea of even vaguely drawing a scene with multiple points of perspective in it

Also watched City of Shadow which was set in Barcelona so that's breaking a bit of my nordic/scandanavian noir shows but it too was just good. Complex topics to tackle, I think I wish it wrapped up a little better as well- both it and The Glass Dome had weaker endings but they were fine.

020

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 04/10/2026

I forgot to give my reiew of The Glass Dome: it was good! I think.... a lot will just get a "it was good" if it sets out to tell the story it was trying to tell. It didn't wow me as anything stand-out, but it was an good for a short series watch. The ending was a bit of a let down, though.

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 04/10/2026

Think I'm starting to feel a bit sad because all the Familiar is packed away, I don't have a "schedule" right now and that normally keeps me mentally on track. Everything including my car situation is very in-between right now and it leaves me feeling restless and a bit sad sometimes. is what it is.

CAN WE PLEASE JUST HAGE NICE EXPLORE CITY OR PLACE TOGETHER TIME

101

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 03/10/2026

I really look forward to living in a quieter space. I think I'm weirdly sad that I barely heard the cicada this year because if the amount of construction that's been going on :^(

140

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 03/10/2026

I'm sooooooo ready to live in a place where there's not constant road construction. There has been nonstop jackhammer, blowers, backhoe trundling and loud banging all summer on our street I haven't gotten to open the windows to enjoy any of the nice days or summer sounds it's bummed me out

150

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 03/10/2026

I haven't drawn properly in days though and I feel like I'm going a little. insane. but soon

060

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 03/10/2026

ouuugggaaaagooouuuuu onto now just the Weird Kind Of Out Of Place Things to pack but still keeping pretty steady with getting it done. I think we're in a good position to get through it all by our proper moving date of the 10th which is a bit crazy but wahoo :-)

170

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 30/09/2026

it still sucks but you can tell I'm like trying to cope my way through this lmao

020

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 30/09/2026

I guess the only thing is is since I bought Inky only a year ago I guess I didn't pay off a lot of her loan so the blow is...slightly lessened but I still have to pay the remainder of the loan back which does suck, but I guess I don't have to pay for repairs on top of it now technically.

120

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 30/09/2026

*loan it but you know :' D better than paying the egregious amount that renting a vehicle has been.

150

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 30/09/2026

Alright well put out good vibes I'm trying to get pre-qualified for a new vehicle today, and I'm hoping to start the process to buy it.

080

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 29/09/2026

Sorry everyone until I get my notebooks out to log this this is a thread. I'm onto The Glass Dome

131

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 29/09/2026

Okay I finished Bloodsoffer. 2/10 final score and I'm firm on this. Only redemption is that the murders were themed around art history and as overused as the theme is I do always find it visually fun.

120

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 29/09/2026

I think I'm being too nice it's probably like a three. It's kind of just like servicable enough- it isn't terrible but it's a bit lacking with character.

120

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 29/09/2026

Bloodsoffer/Blood Sacrifice is like a.......... 4/10. It is good at atmosphere but it fails at building good tension (between characters or with the murders themselves) or mystery or convincing red herrings. It is fairly predictable and for a singular season lacks punchyness.

120

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

A LITTLE BIT, YEAH 😭 I am never sold on any sort of time-travel story so how they set up how their time-travel works for once actually got my interest and it's been a few years since I've watched it but I do recall....not being super wowed by that bit :' D

000

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

That's what I've found haha! I don't know I think I just watched one and now I just keep getting recommended more so I've just kept watching them HAHA

010

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

True Detective season 4 we don't talk about. (Unless you want to listen to me rant about how I would rewrite/rearrange it for 2 hours)

130

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

I mostly work to these and I know they're not All Incredible but I really don't mind that too much. In between these I also watched Fargo season 1 - 2 but haven't started season 3 yet and rewatched True Detective season 1 because God it just does it so well.

130

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

Not a noir thriller (I think) but everyone should watch Dark (2017-2020) it was absolutely insane and incredible.

240

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

I know there's more I've watched but that's what I remember so far. I'm always on the lookout for more because I guess this is a Thing I Watch now.

130

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

Detective Hole was inexcusable I could only get through episode...one and partway through two I think. I really enjoyed The Åre Murders because it gave you a range of perspectives (including the victims) to be able to piece timeline and events together yourself- it was new and engaging and fun.

130

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

My standard for "a good thriller crime show" is already shot because True Detective exists so my measure of "good" is now mostly just interest in concept and execution (simply) and if the plot is engaging. The Chestnut Man season 1 I'd consider to be good, season 2 was horrid.

130

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

I should start keeping a log of every dark nordic crime thriller I've watched because at this point it's a pattern

290

STICK STACK🪵🎃 @stitchyface.gripe · 28/09/2026

Dude that thing looks like a crisp leaf
