how am i supposed to think as a woman in STEM when I grew up in a household where my engineer dad implied I couldn't be anything but an engineer, while at the same time only sharing his most visceral criticism towards the woman engineers at his company, then saying to me "but you're different, Amy."

i don't know what I'll find here, but if there are any engineers who design molds/dies/mandrels on this website, was it easy for you to pick up or did it take time? Designing a device for manufacturability felt so much easier than designing a mold for manufacturability. I feel so dumb. #engineer

Designing molds for tipping catheters is hard. All the other engineers say it's hard and it takes a lot of time to really get a grip on it compared to just designing a device on SolidWorks, but I can't help but feel dumb since I'm a senior level engineer.

I feel a certain anxious nostalgia when I see the kids all going back to school. Yeah, the kids may get Summer break, but I don't envy being back at that age when my future was so undefined and I worked 8+ hours for free. Also, realizing I masked all of high school and had undiagnosed ADHD.

dude Sims 2 is better than I remember. TS3 is still bae but playing TS2 rotation style gives me what I loved about TS3 in the first place - a world that evolves. I used to just play one family forever and get mad that 6 generations of kids had the same high school sweetheart.

My partner even had a fight with his parents about the level of recruitment at the funeral service when it should've been ppl sharing memories about Memaw. His parents don't even go to church. They blew a gasket when my partner argued good actions please god more than saying you're a Christian.

I was skeptical too & pleasantly surprised! I was worried Nolan would try to make the story "realistic" but he definitely leaned into Greek Mythology. Tbh, if someone told me Guillermo Del Toro helped on this movie, I'd believe it. It felt like Pan's Labeynth at times.
