Well, the #BahrainGP in Malaysia was a jolly good time, as #F1 races go. Well worth the 2 hour wait.

Another new release I'm enjoying a lot is 'Violins', the 3rd album by LA-based Blondshell. Alt-rock that leans heavily on Big Hooks and a grand production. If you used to enjoy the likes of Best Coast, this is for you.

Listening to 'Crisco', the new Miranda Lambert record, and hating it. By now it's been over a decade since she last released a good album. Once upon a time she was the exception to the rule that mainstream country always sucks, but I won't even buy this to keep my collection up to date. Dreadful.

While the focus this week seems to be on legacy reissues of legendary albums - Rubber Soul and My Aim Is True, to be exact - I would like to recommend 'Mortuary Blues', the new album by UK blues rocker Adam Sweet. The late great Johnny Winter would definitely approve...

I'm very late to this party, but Banishers is really good indeed. Been playing it these last few days and it's a solid 9/10 for me. Some of the mechanics are a little clunky but the heartrending story and the overall mood more than make up for that.

'You May Offend'? That's what they think. In fact, these two transphobic jerks can f**k all the way off. Still, it's a pity you can't boycott an act when you never liked them to begin with. But it has been a weird week, with all these ginger superstars choosing the wrong side of history.

The Madring is the worst new #F1 race track in ages. It's a butt-ugly concrete park and the racing is downright boring. So far all the support races have been traffic jams moving at speed, with practically no overtaking, so I'm not holding my breath that the main event will be any better.

Nowadays when you buy a ticket through Ticketmaster, they spam you with 3rd party deals the moment you make the purchase. As long as you share all your data with those 3rd parties, that goes without saying. In the meantime, the latest independent venue in my hometown has just been throttled. 🤮🤬
