The vet brought in some flowers she stole from the garden outside, nestled them in next to him. Galaxy loved flowers and plants. @feilen.purr.church held him as he went. It was beautiful, and devastating, I was so proud of him for giving us so much time with him.

We brought the ice cream, chicken, and his favorite cardboard box with us to the vet. They had a room prepared for us that was very cozy and quiet. Galaxy got to have all the ice cream and chicken he wanted while we hugged and cried over him.

His last day with us was really special. We spent the morning with him, letting him enjoy some kitty TV, the beautiful view from our new livingroom. He was having a hard time staying upright. I went out and bought him a tub of ice cream. @skrime.bsky.social got him some really fancy chicken dinner.

TW loss/grief Yesterday we lost Galaxy to his long struggle with kidney disease. He was such a beautiful, loving cat who loved to snuggle and be held. He was also a little shit that chewed through so many cables and would take any opportunity to steal any ice cream, chips, or water left unattended.
