Employment Opportunity: Biologist - fRI Research
The Biologist will be part of a team working on applied research questions linked to moose and other ungulates in Alberta. The Biologist will lead a project building multi-scale habitat selection/occupancy models. The position consists of desk-based work (data analysis, report writing) as well as travel and engagement with shareholders, project partners, and Indigenous communities, and fieldwork often in remote locations. The Biologist must be an effective problem-solver, be capable of working in a small team, managing their own research, and managing their own time to meet project deliverables. The Biologist will work under the supervision of a Senior Biologist and Program Lead. There will also be opportunities to develop your own research ideas and analysis approaches that fall within the project scope.

A must read article! It details so much of what I've been feeling since I was involved in a wildfire evacuation in 2023. Then dealing with trying to keep working in conservation with this feelings of despair hanging over me. We need to keep fighting for change. canadiangeographic.ca/articles/the...
