HodgePodgeH @steviesun.bsky.social · 12/10/2026I don't want to go to work tomorrow, I want to spend time with people I care about. I want to catch up with old friends. I want to share memories and food and laughter. I hate that there's never enough time. So glad I have some time away with friends book, but I need to grab some of the others. 000
HodgePodgeH @steviesun.bsky.social · 12/10/2026Yesterday someone I was once very close with passed away far too soon (she was only in her 50s), and today my elderly uncle was injured & has had a trip to hospital. Earlier in the year my aunt died, and someone else I was once very close with (who was formative to the me now). 100

HodgePodgeH @steviesun.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Some of the people I've been in a relationship with can read this, so I'm not going to say what I was asked. But it felt at the time like an invasion of not only my privacy but also theirs. Better gender care moves away from narratives set nearly a century ago. 000
HodgePodgeH @steviesun.bsky.social · 11/10/2026In the UK now GPs can refer direct to GICs. This has cut out the part of the process where you had to first see a psych from the community mental health team. They were not gender specialists, and my experience was utterly clear (after) that they were looking for a very specific narrative. 100
HodgePodgeH @steviesun.bsky.social · 11/10/2026Yes. To the locum psych who was gatekeeper to getting the funding for a referral to the GIC. He was clearly looking for a very set narrative. Damned for following the script and damned for not. 130
