Scottish birder and naturalist who enjoys the hills, rivers, and wilder bits. Also to be found working at BTO Scotland. All opinions my own.

Well that's a wrap on the Scottish Birdwatchers' Conference with @scottishbirding.bsky.social. Thanks to everyone who made it such a brilliant weekend! Great talks on Saturday and fab birding excursions on Sunday- early Wheatear were found, Golden Eagles showed, and the Youth Walk was a riot!
An annotated image from an excited BTO colleague- a Golden Eagle over RSPB Insh Marshes. They also saw a Goshawk and, up on Cairngorm, a flock of about 50 Snow Bunting. Our first ever conference excursion specifically for young people. We had a great time with the young folk and their parents. Chris Wernham of BTO opens proceedings.
