CarousHELL was released today in 2016. A full decade later and it blows me away that not only are people still discovering the film today, but we were able to release the 4th part this year and people love it. It's been a HELL of a ride for the past 10 years.

One whole year without my beloved Gizmo Cat. I miss you so much and I hope you're still out there somewhere so I can meet you again I'm so happy I decided to make silly movies with you so that you can live forever in hearts all over the world. It's the least I can do for all of the joy you gave me.

Today is the FIVE YEAR anniversary of CarousHELL 2, which is nuts. Was never sure if we'd even make part 2 yet here we are at part 4. There's audio issues in 2 that bug me and a couple scenes I could have tightened up, but so glad this exists.

It's allegedly the best one according to the Fangoria Chainsaw Awards!

Felt pretty confident saying CarousHELL 4 was the best killer unicorn movie of 2026 until I saw Buddy, which is incredible. Incredible work, @heycasperkelly.bsky.social , thanks for all the laughs.

DCEU rewatch has Birds of Prey next! This one has always been a good flick for me. Curious where it'll end up on my ranking this time.

Current ranking of how I feel about my own movies. Putting CarousHELL 4 above Curtains for Christmas was a MUCH harder decision than folks may think, went back and forth on the top spot for a while.

Duke has to deal with Margot & Pierre again in CarousHELL 4! (Also it's kind of hard to make videos in this aspect ratio because this is just NOT how I frame my feature films lol)

When I'm taking a break from making features I want to do a super short Captain Marvel fanfilm where a lady/femme actor dressed in masculine clothes says Shazam then turns into me (their ideal form)

010

Steve Rudzinski @steverudzinski.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

Wife is letting me watch a Christmas movie during her spooky time so I can continue the DCEU rewatch with Shazam. At least I got a great Captain Marvel film. I'll say all day long the Big Red Cheese has one of the best DC films made. Top 5 of DCEU.

My darling Gizmo Cat always locked entirely in for John Wick (and a few NOES movies), no other movie caught her interest. No clue why. My deepest condolences for losing your friend. It's an absolutely terrible experience.

What we did is NOWHERE near as good as what the Evil Dead movies delivered, but in CarousHELL 4 I really wanted weird looking monsters with white eyes as the look as much as we could afford it.
