I will always say, I love reading @rachelharrison.bsky.social. Also time loop stories are just fun. A nice change from the usual trope.

I apparently get to go to Maine the weekend before Halloween. So close to King the weekend before the best day of the year.... Just need that background check to finish lol and to figure out how to make the 120 mile drive

They thought it went well too! Got the offer at 7:45 this morning! I haven't even been able to get an unemployment check yet lol

This man deserves this sooooo much. Clay is just a gem of a writer and I am so glad I stumbled upon his work due to a local library list. Read him, but also read THIS ONE as you won't read anything like this romance book

3rd interview went great outside being 30 late because I can't read timezones..... BUT if I get it, I would have to travel to Maine for 2 days, how do I convince my wife I need to take a trip 120 miles north and maybe another day? I mean I would have to go to Bangor right????

Steve Reads Scares @stevereadsscares.bsky.social · 11/08/2026

I thought I bombed my interview, just got asked back for the team fit... I am shocked and screaming for joy in my car

I had to stop at 20% in. Oof. I still don't know one of the main character's name because it was mistyped every time

010

Steve Reads Scares @stevereadsscares.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

Just started an ARC novella and not even 10 pages in and want to quit this. Soooooo many typos. I mean "Chapter ree" was in the contents. Sometimes 2-3 mistakes in a paragraph. I know I can't write for crap but this is rough.

Finished @almakatsu.bsky.social's Incarnate... Wow. That was a fast and fantastic read! I love when she dives into her training because you know she knows her stuff with the deep spy stuff. Can't wait to see the reaction when this fully releases

75% of the way done with There Are No Giant Crabs In This Novel and just found out it's book 5 in a series lol. Well, that's a good sign that if you can roll with the oddness and take it as a very lived world and not notice that.

Steve Reads Scares @stevereadsscares.bsky.social · 10/06/2026

Mother of God this will be amazing! This looks like it will live up to the material

Did I buy myself a Douglas Adams book today on my birthday? Yes, yes I did. Why? A) it's Adams. B) I'm 42 baby! Screw the 40th celebrations, I only cared for this one

I could get deeper into Crone, but having finished Trad Wife and started to listening to @talkscaredpod.bsky.social on my run, but the discussion is so damn good I need to finish the episode

I have 6 ARCs waiting me after Trad Wife.... Ugh lol. Some awesome writers, @keithrosson.bsky.social @cynthiapelayo.bsky.social @almakatsu.bsky.social , but that's a daunting list when I have Black House waiting me too....

Really loving Grief Eater by @redscribe.bsky.social. Can't say I've read a book from the perspective of the zombie, but damn it's emotional and beautiful. Had no idea what to expect when I requested it on NetGalley, so damn glad I did!

Monika Kim's latest, Molka, is just soooooo unsettling and heartbreaking. I can't say I knew about the spycam issues of South Korea but this book had me on edge from the first chapter and it never let up. 4.5/5 easily. Better than The Eyes Are the Best Part. Wow

Got my 3rd ARC in a week now. THIS is fun. One happened to be an audiobook of Pete the Kitty Cat for my kids, but I also got the next Monika Kim! As soon as I finally finish the Exorcist I will pull it up. I paused it last week but now I'm cruising in it

010

Steve Reads Scares @stevereadsscares.bsky.social · 18/01/2026
