"Proposed". and "or". Is it in the US Constitution? I'll give you another day or so to learn how to read since critical thinking seems beyond your current capacity.

It demonstrates Catholics raising an "army" and overthrowing the Protestants.

Stop. This is a satire. I've read it. It means the "market-man" could serve as a soldier.

This, is a military usage, not a civilian one. Several others are equally irrelevant.

I'm not hiding anything. It's what the Constitution says and that is not what you claim it says. There is no prohibition in the Constitution against the Federal government making laws that regulate guns.

Find a State Constitution that does not largely reiterate what is in the United States Constitution.

You'll find that most states just went ahead and adopted the Bill of Rights in their own Constitutions.

BTW the opinion that the B of R didn't apply to the states, wasn't the work of the Founders. It wasn't until 1833. So your case falls apart right there. supreme.justia.com/cases/federa...

To "bear arms" is a distinct phrase. What we are seeing here is an author, trying to stretch the term into something it isn't.
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
Also beware when you can't access the full document when an author has a bias.
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
That's an entirely different term than the distinct phrase "bear arms". Irrelevant and obfuscating.
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
So what do YOU think the Founders were saying here?
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
I'm the one who should be insulted, you're the one who never bothered to read the two most essential documents in American History. It's that lack of knowledge that the gun lobby capitalizes on.

I've been posting facts the whole time. You even tried to duck down a Henry VIII rabbit hole. Americans are dying by the tens of thousands based on the opinions you're parroting.

The 2A doesn't do what you claim and you posted only opinions having nothing to do with the Founders. You never read the Declaration of Independence, or the Constitution before.

Again. There was nothing other than a military context in Tudor England, being trained "well regulated" militia. Saying something is "settled" does not mean you have authority over me, or the facts.

steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
Dude, you wanted to go down the Henry VIII rabbit hole. The Sheriff in that era was responsible for military training because that's all they had. I told you it wasn't like Mayberry.
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
I already did. The Sheriff was responsible for the training and mustering of troops to "bear arms".
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
It's what I've been telling you the whole time. "Well regulated" trained to "bear arms" like the Colonial/Federal militia and modern-day National Guard.
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
I just told you ffs. And they were "well regulated" trained and under the orders of the Sheriff. Sheriffs were typically more like state governors of counties or shires than "county sheriffs" in the modern United States.
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
They were not "aiding". They were conscripted. I just told you, at that time there were neither regular military, or cops.

steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
There was no regular civilian police force as we know it today, any more than there was a "standing army".
010
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
Dude, it was like the National Guard, only compulsory like the 18th century "well regulated" militia. How can you not put these things together?
100
steverayner.bsky.social @steverayner.bsky.social · 21/10/2025
In the Tudor Era there was no "standing army" other than the King's Household Guards. This is how an army of "militia" was raised when it was needed.
