About a decade after I stopped running marathons seriously, I watched the race and about one in twenty runners said hi to me by name as they went by. The other spectators assumed I was more than "locally famous."

I turned on the TV and there was stock footage of the Twin Cities Marathon showing someone I know running. That would have been common once, but surprised me now.

There's 2 openings on that city council. Mallet is conservative. Lienemann is liberal. I'm guessing their second choice was based on racism, as Juenemann is more liberal than Hang, and they went Abrams over Lee.

I wouldn't have thought of it, but I do see it [not so much when he was Elrond in Lord of the Rings!]

I think there's maybe 5 on the list I haven't seen. There's some great stuff in there, some fun trash, and a few that are nothing at all.

She knows John Waters. You'd think there'd be a story there, but no.

I met someone today who I'd wanted to meet forever. I knew her parents (weirdos). She'd been a prodigy, reading before she could walk, self-taught classical piano. She'd been a beauty in her 20s (thirty years ago). We had absolutely nothing to talk about. Just awkward silences.

I had a mouse (outdoors, luckily) that learned to nudge those traps to spring them and take the bait. I tried another trap and it learned to hang from its hind feet and fish the bait out without tripping it. Then I surrounded that trap with glue traps and got her trying to jump over them.

More cranes. They're unusual in the city especially in the fall.

I think it was contractually obligated and it was just a "take THAT" to the record company.
