Steve Pannett @stevepannett.com · 16/09/2026This really is the perfect joke because if I’m right then we’ll all just suffer horrible economic consequences…but at least I’d be right And if I’m wrong then the species will be extinct and there’ll be no one around to say “I told you so” except for some mildly apologetic chatbots Lose lose bebe! 000
Steve Pannett @stevepannett.com · 15/09/2026I told everyone I invented magic that would fix everything wrong with the world so they gave me all their money and I spent it all on a fancy light show that runs on diesel and now they’re getting nervous so I’m telling them all the magic is so powerful it could kill us all. Steve Pannett @stevepannett.com · 03/09/2026This hunch feels played-out by the fact that the general insanity of the world over appears to have accelerated since 2020/21. A lot of these folks genuinely believe they are better/more than other people (how else could they be so powerful, otherwise?) Revealing that to be a lie has broken them. 000
Steve Pannett @stevepannett.com · 03/09/2026I have a theory (more of a hunch, in truth) that, while Covid traumatised the entire planet, the rich and powerful were—somewhat ironically—adversely affected because, perhaps for the first time, they were proven to be just as human/mortal as everyone else. Their response was to lose their minds. 100

Steve Pannett @stevepannett.com · 21/08/2026One thing parenting in the UK doesn’t really prep you for is how much of your time will be spent on disused industrial estates (that have since been converted into soft play centres). Steve Pannett @stevepannett.com · 06/08/2026Exactly this. It’s also why so many people seem to have “fallen down the rabbit hole” of extremism, especially in the last decade. Most started with a (relatively) moderate viewpoint, but then got funnelled into seeing/believing increasingly extreme ideas. All based on their data profiles. 030
