I just saw someone on Reddit post about a 2-bedroom 2-bath rental house in our neighborhood that's going for $5,950 per month. Holy hell. #realEstate #sanFrancisco

All, here's a download code from my friend Stew, who goes by the name Kapok Itch on Bandcamp: h7fc-7xtv kapokitch.bandcamp.com/yum His music is of the experimental / electroacoustic variety, so only use the code if you're into that kinda stuff. Otherwise, save it for someone who is. 🙂 […]

[Minor spoiler & interpretation of the Backrooms tv show] So, I watched #Backrooms today, on #Netflix. I felt profoundly disoriented when it was finished, and walked around my house expecting to have a similar experience. It occurred to me how it in a small […] [Original post on sfba.social]

A screengrab from a tv show. It shows the therapist character from Backrooms about to enter the furniture store, the point at which she begins her own journey. At that moment, her reflection appears in the store window to the right, a door separating them.

RE: stevenray.micro.blog/2026/09/29/thr… Here's a list of the books I've been reading this year, and where I am with 'em. The same could be derived by looking at my Bookwyrm account, but I feel like a blog post is somehow quicker, requiring less clicks.

#musician folks in the U.S., do any of you know how to calculate the tariffs you'd have to pay when buying music equipment from Europe (especially I guess, Germany)? It's very mysterious to me, and the merchant can't figure it out for you. Thanks. 🙂 🎶

Absolutely zonked on this #caturday. All of you, have a good one. 👍🏻 🐈

A very fluffy brown tabby cat laying on her side, arranged vertically and facing to the left, on a bed and blanket, with light from a window making her fur almost glow. Her fur is really fluffy, almost like exploding off her. Her head is tucked in next to a pillow and her eyes are closed.

I went bowling again today, third time since I got back into it two months ago. Every time, the first game is trash, and today was no different. But, the second game was the best game I’ve bowled since I started going again. Not up to my old standards, but… something clicked partway through […]

On the west side of San Francisco today, we've got both Sun and fog. #weather #sanFrancisco

A color photo of the sky. The bright Sun is near the top left corner, and competes for space with several types of clouds at multiple altitudes, as well as some blue sky. A large cloud near the center is lower in altitude and is rolling across the field of view, right to left. Trees occupy the bottom right, and the upper portion of a house is in the lower left.

The thing I love about 'Tugboat' Wilkinson is that he defies convention. You look at him and see that he does not have a physique which says 'he's an athlete'. Yet he competes and has success. He's a major league pitcher. He's held the Dodgers to one hit through two innings so far today. That's […]

Wife has gotten on a kick of making these delicious things lately. Fig, blue cheese and prosciutto on crackers with drizzled honey on top. They are every bit as tasty as they look! #food

Small individual appetizers spread on a wooden cutting board, two rows of five each. They're composed of fig, blue cheese and prosciutto on a cracker with drizzled honey. The moisture in the figs is reflecting the light in the room, and drops of honey can be seen on the cutting board.
