You're probably thinking of the Le Mans winning open top Matra's (1972 - 74) but I prefer coupes. Le Mans Miniatures do models of the earlier MS620 & MS630 coupes, but they don't really appeal to me. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Delighted to have purchased a #slotcar on eBay that I couldn't find at the recent Havant SwapMeet. It's a brand new #Scalextric model of the Ferrari 330 P4 which finished 3rd at Le Mans in 1967 driven by Willy Mairesse & Jean Blaton. Here's one of the seller's photos. Delivery should be Friday 😍

On this day in 1978, #TeamLotus driver Ronnie Peterson passed away. I remember hearing the news at school. I couldn't believe it. Knew he was in hospital following the Italian GP crash the day before, but never thought his life was in danger. #F1 lost a true legend 😢

Happy birthday to former Lotus driver Derek Warwick, born on this day in 1954. With Lamborghini V12 engine, the Lotus 102 was difficult to drive but Warwick managed 3 championship points in 1990, with 6th place in Canada and 5th in Hungary. Remember only the top 6 scored points back then. #TeamLotus

Today is the 81st anniversary of the nuclear bombing of #Hiroshima. Back in 2011 whilst on a work trip to Japan, I had the opportunity to visit the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. It was a very moving experience. #Peace 🕊️😞
